About New Zealand Alpaca Wool – The Highest Quality in the World
Wool from New Zealand alpacas is considered the most valuable and purest wool in the world. Thanks to its unique properties, it even surpasses alpaca wool from the animals' native regions, making it a world-class premium material.
Alpaca fiber resembles sheep’s wool in structure, but it is six times warmer, three times more durable, and significantly lighter. Moreover, alpaca fibers are free from lanolin and lipids, which means they don’t require chemical treatment—unlike other natural fibers. This makes alpaca wool fully hypoallergenic and safe for people with allergies.

SHEARING
Alpacas are sheared only once a year, and each alpaca yields around 3 kg of fiber annually—enough to produce approximately two larger duvets, based on our 450g/m² filling. Only the fiber from the upper parts of the animal is used, which provides first-grade wool—the highest quality and also the most expensive on the market.
CLEANING
The fiber is always cleaned manually using a special shaker designed to remove all plant-based impurities and dust particles. In the next step, the fiber is washed with eco-friendly soap, without the addition of any chemical agents.
CARDING
A carding machine combs the fiber using hundreds of tiny needles mounted on the machine’s rollers. The fiber is carded twice, resulting in a material that is completely clean, soft, and formed into several-centimeter-thick batts.
QUILTING & FINISHING
The fiber is laid between two layers of densely woven natural cotton, cut precisely to the size of the duvet. Next, meticulous quilting is performed using a unique pattern. The final stage involves carefully finishing the product with an exclusive trim and stitching it with a beautiful thread.
